This necklace features a stunning pendant of a large silver dragonfly. The pendant was crafted by meticulously painting an actual dragonfly (already peacefully deceased!) with multiple layers of fine silver metal clay. The clay and insect were later fired in a kiln during which the organic material burned away leaving a silver replica. The pendant showcases the intricate details of the delicate wings, slender body, and graceful curves of this enchanting insect, capturing the essence of a dragonfly in flight, frozen in time, exuding a sense of movement and life. Searching for wildflowers, the dragonfly has alighted on a field of colorful rainbow tourmaline, a triple strand of tiny faceted beads that sparkle in a dazzling array of hues. The necklace is finished with a sterling silver chain and handmade sterling hook. The hook can actually be used through any link in the chain to adjust the length of the necklace if desired. This is a truly enchanting accessory that will undoubtedly draw admiration and spark conversations wherever it is worn.
